Pennyblack brings this dream to life with the Spring Summer 2024 Casa Soleil Capsule Collection, created in collaboration with Agathe Marty. The French artist captures the essence of summer through two exclusive patterns with pure and incisive strokes. The sun, one of her iconic subjects, radiates a warm yellow motif inspired by Mediterranean tiles, played in positive and negative. Stripes, essential in the Pennyblack wardrobe, transform into sea waves in the vibrant shade of Aegean blue. All set against the neutral background of lightweight muslin.
Airy volumes, enhanced by ruching, characterize the pieces in the capsule. Maxi lengths and wide ruffles for the gypsy-flavored skirt and the dress suspended on thin straps. Crossed design and puffed sleeves for the blouse and short dress that define the waist with tie-up laces. Theme prints also adorn the T-shirt that completes the collection.
Agathe Marty, illustrator, and pattern designer collaborates with important publications and lifestyle fashion brands. Her inspiration comes from her travels, the small details of everyday life, and the sunny and relaxed lifestyle of southern France, where she lives and works. Her minimalist aesthetic is based on the harmonious combination of lines, textures, and natural colors.Â
