Living in the Weekend is a mindset. That the Weekender takes with her wherever she goes. The energy of nature teamed with cosmopolitan buzz make Barcelona the winter destination of choice for the protagonist of this season’s Weekend Max Mara advertising campaign. An epitome of a city blessed with the energy of sea and sunshine all year round, its fervent dna fits perfectly within her attitude to life. Favourite looks include a biscuit-tone trench over a black leather biker and mini skirt two-piece worn with Chelsea combats and a patterned V-neck over denim matched with an olive green parka. A brand key player, the parka comes in navy blue too for this autumn and winter, is reversible in this case, and accompanies a zipped jumpsuit to full effect. A dash of colour is given by the bright yellow puffer, another of our Weekender’s go-to pieces over more subdued caramel pants and contrast chunky boots. Caramel hues reappear in the wool check coat with Norwegian design knit sleeves over a cable-knit polo-neck sweater and textured cardigan.
Another seasonal addition to outerwear is the fleece-like bomber with an abstract multicolour motif. The finishing touch is the iconic Pasticcino Bag in cherry red matelassé and its latest edition in toffee leather with embossed white trim and maxi boules clasp as well as a large logo-ed crossbody in striped canvas.
