Training Activities
Over the years - thanks to a profitable public/private collaboration with public and private bodies and institutions - the Giulia Maramotti Foundation has organised a number of post-diploma courses and specialised vocational training in schools related to the fashion sector, assigning annual scholarships to students of the schools G. Chierici and L. Galvani in Reggio Emilia.
A number of Project Works have been organised with Universities and institutes such as the European Design Institute (IED) Moda Lab in Milan. One of the ongoing training initiatives is the course "Clothing and Fashion Designer 2008-2009" now in its fifth edition. The course, organised in collaboration with Cis Business School envisages a work placement in one of the companies of the Max Mara Group at the end of the course.
Activities are carried out to build national and international partnerships and this has led to a close connection with the "Isem Fashion Business School" in Madrid. Isem is the first Spanish school that specialises in the Management of Fashion Businesses and, since 2001, it has been training experts for the fashion and luxury industry in collaboration with the University of Navarra and other international Schools.
Finally, thanks to a cooperation with the Municipality, the "Giulia Maramotti" infant-toddler centre was founded, donated by the Foundation in December 2007 and opened to the public in February 2008: the school welcomes more than 78 children and is part of the town's network, already famous at international level for the high profile of the educational and pedagogical activities carried out.
