Award Ceremony for the 2008-2009 School Year
The award ceremony for the 2008-2009 Giulia Maramotti Study Awards was held on Saturday 20th February with special guest designer Antonio Marras.
Six students from Galvani and Chierici High Schools received an award and four were given special mentions.
The Galvani High School Students were:
FLORA RUFINO – FIRST PLACE Class IV A
for her exemplary execution of the pattern, the excellent making up of the garment and her correct and personal interpretation of the cult garment proposed.
GIUSI DE MARCO – SECOND PLACE Class IV A
for her exemplary execution of the pattern and the addition of personal touches to enhance it and the special attention to detail in the making up of the garment.
FRANCESCA SULLA – THIRD PLACE Class IV B
for her precise execution of the complex pattern chosen, for her sophisticated interpretation of the details and the skill and expression in the execution of the sketch.
Special mention
SABRINA TOSTI Class IV A
for her bold choice and skill in the execution of a particularly difficult pattern.
GIORGIA SPAGNOLO Class IV B
for her development of an original idea enriched with the combination of sophisticated accessories.
The Chierici High School Students were:
CHIARA BONACINI – FIRST PLACE Class IV F
for her unusual inspiration tableaux and for her original choice of knitwear teamed with other materials used as the leitmotif for the development of the themes.
PAOLA IOTTI – SECOND PLACE Class IV F
for her stylistic coherency and attention to expressive details illustrating the themes, for her sophisticated colour choices and richness of accessories.
CATERINA LEONE – THIRD PLACE Class IV F
for the creativity shown in her approach to the identification of the atmospheres inspiring the themes assigned and for her talented and sophisticated description of the special occasion wear.
Special mention
GIULIA PICCININI Class IV F
for her illustration of the trends that inspired the project and the fullness of expression shown in her sketches.
GAIA CHIESSI Class IV B
for the creativity of her stylistic representation and the originality of her graphic rendering of the events suggested by the theme
